Hallo Audi A2 Club Nederland!

Ik heet Tom. Als kind woonde ik een paar jaar in Nederland, dus spreek ik een beetje Nederlands, maar mijn geschreven Nederlands is niet erg goed. Helaas betekent dit dat ik in het Engels moet schrijven. Sorry!

If any of you are members of A2OC.net, you may know me as Timmus. I provide retrofitting and upgrade services to the UK A2 community. I have upgraded hundreds of A2s and can install any of the factory optional extras (with the exception of climate control and OpenSky). I can install cruise control, DIS/FIS, Colour DIS, Bose, rear electric windows, multifunction steering wheel, Sport seats with electric support adjustment, heated seats, auto-dimming mirror, Bluetooth, double-DIN dashboard, RNS-E SatNav, front fog lights, twin rear fog lights, komfortblinker, etc, etc.
All of the options that I install are fitted to Audi standard, using genuine parts. My upgrades are just like the original factory option.

I also offer a number of upgrades for the TDI engines: remapping (chipping), all-alloy intercoolers, silicone hoses, etc.

In August, I will be visiting a friend in Den Haag. I will also be doing some upgrades for a club member in Rottendam. So, I am letting this club know that I will be available to install upgrades for Dutch and Belgian A2 owners.
I will be travelling to the Netherlands in my A2, so will not have space for large items (Sport seats, double-DIN dashboards, electric window frames, etc). Also, because time is tight, it may not be possible to get all the necessary parts needed for every type of upgrade, but hopefully most requests can be done.

This is an A1 flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel controlling RNS-E SatNav, SDS voice control and Audi Bluetooth phone integration. You can also see that the instrument cluster has had a Colour DIS upgrade. This A2 has also been upgraded with heated Sport seats with electric adjustment.
This photo shows the steering column after I've added the necessary wiring for cruise control, DIS/FIS and a multifunction steering wheel. Therefore, some of the wiring is original Audi and some is made by me. If you cannot see the difference between Audi's work and mine, that's what I want!
During my time in the Netherlands, I will be based in Den Haag. I will also be in Antwerpen for some days. If you would like to have some upgrades added to your A2, or if you would just like to ask some questions about my services, please reply to this message or send me a private message.

On behalf of the Dutch A2 Club Netherlands, a very warm welcome to our forum! Just like in the UK and Germany, there is a quite big community of A2 fanatics in the Netherlands. There is a lot of retrofitting going on, a few among us have a high level of knowledge and have done quite some impressive work already.

At the moment, we are working on all kinds of LED upgrades for interior and exterior and made quite some nice mods. The CC and Komfortblinker are installed quite frequently, the A3 window and mirrorswitch upgrade is also becoming popular. This also eliminates the worn off switches caused by the terrible softlack. But I think there are quite some interesting upgrades in your list that makes the Dutch drivers hungry.

From your introduction it seems that you seem to have quite some time during your visit or are you so experienced that you can do the mods with the eyes (almost) closed Anyway, it might be a nice idea to have a (small) meeting and get to know each other, exchange information and maybe work towards a meeting between the Dutch and UK A2OC.

Many thanks for the very warm welcome. I have been aware of the A2 community in the Netherlands for a while, and I see plenty of Dutch names discussing the A2 on facebook, so I decided it was time to get involved, at least at times when I'm in and around Benelux.

I hope to arrive in Dunkirk on July 31st, though I am almost immediately going to Italy with my friend who lives in Den Haag. I return from Italy on August 14th and I shall then be working on an A2 in Rotterdam for a few days. After that, I'm free. I haven't booked my boat back to the UK yet, so I'm totally flexible to meet up with members either for upgrades or just for fun.

Between now and my departure from the UK, I have a number of big jobs, which means my opportunity to prepare is getting smaller. I can do most upgrades with my eyes closed - especially cruise control, which I've done hundreds of times! - but finding nice parts and making all the necessary wiring really takes time.

I hope to meet some of you in August.
